I have been reflecting on this year that I have had. I feel like it hasn't been that eventful to me. But then again as I think of it, I have done a lot. Last year I took a whole year off of school because of personal reasons, and this year I was in school winter & fall semester. I am getting way excited, because I only have 8 classes left and some more hours on my Internship & I will have a Bachelor's in Recreation Management with clusters in humanities & photography.
A lot of people ask me what I am wanting to do for a job with my major. This major has been amazing for me. I love being in Recreation. It has totally gotten me outta my comfort zone, and gotten me outta my norm in my life. But, I would like to become an Activities Director or a Camp Director somewhere. Eventually I would like to open a Bed & Breakfast one day. For a few years at Byu-I was a business major. I totally disliked that because there were a lot of Economics & math classes. And i wasn't having any fun. I like to have fun and play and I love the outdoors. So I was talking with a friend from my ward and she was a recreation leadership major and that is what she had graduated in. I thankfully changed mine to Recreation Management and have loved the switch so much. I love that we get to go on field trips, and that we get to build things, and that we don't have to sit in a stuffy classroom all day. Because I swear i have ADHD or something when I am sitting for very long I get twitchy and i have to start standing and moving. LOL.
I am so excited for this next year as I finish up my degree. As to where I will go in the near future. I would like to end up maybe in Oregon. I love it there if I could find a job on the coast there, or I may move to Boise for a little while and be near some of my sisters that live there. The future has a lot in store for me and I am so stinkin' excited.
I am making goals for the new year.
My No. 1 goal is: to be a full tithe payer this next year. I unfortunately was not this year and I talked to my bishop about everything that has been going on with me and with all the credit cards I have to pay on, and the medical bills, and then just the gas that I had to buy to get myself around when the gas was so high.
My No. 2 goal is: to become more health concious. I have many medical problems that I don't take into account in my life. I eat things I shouldn't all the time, I am going to plan meals and stick to them, seriously this time. LOL.
My No. 3 goal is: to be nicer to everyone around me. I have a tendency to be kinda rude sometimes when something doesn't go my way. I love everyone and Just hope that I can be nicer and more outgoing this year.
My No. 4 goal is: Reading my scriptures. I really need to work on that one so that I can bring the gospel into my life more fully.
My No. 5 goal is: Make new friends. I have a few more semesters left and I hope that I can make friends in my classes.
May you all have a great Christmas & a Happy New Year
